Commissioned in 2008 for the newly refurbished staff and visitor restaurant, this large
scale figurative installation comprises twelve kiln-formed glass figures ranging in
height from 75cm to 95cm. Small groups of figures are placed within a number of
alcoves giving the impression that they are travelling between the different spaces.

Metal wires and meshes, oxides and enamels are
manipulated and placed beneath or between the glass
layers prior to firing to produce the texture detail to the
clothing. Each figure is mounted on spacers to a silhouette panel that is painted to match the wall colour which in
turn is mounted to the wall with brackets of varying depths.
